Easter Maths Trails

posted in: Current Events | 0

We have all been getting outside in the warm spring sunshine this week to have a go at the maths trails that year five have designed and written especially for each class.

It has been great fun and we have exercised our brains as well as our bodies!

Well done to year five children who organised and ran each trail!

“It was mind bending and fun because it was outside”. Theo

“It was good that the questions stretched my brain. It was great exercise running around!” Bella

“It was challenging!” Ryan

“I liked how hard the questions were” Ruby

“The questions were at a good level-challenging- the children practised year four maths and made us think!” Miss Hobby

“Even harder questions please.” Imogen

95% of those who took part and were surveyed would like another maths trail in the summer term because they enjoyed this one so much.

An amazing 85% surveyed would like to have a go at writing their own maths trails next term!

The following themes were suggested: winter, Halloween, Pokemon, football, the beach, summer sport, Healthy Living Week, summer, cars, animals and Christmas.
