On Thursday Years 3 and 4 had a visit from the Oxfordshire Museum Service. Rachael and Sonja brought lots of exciting things which really helped to bring our learning to life. We dressed up as Romans and learned all about their different clothes. We were amazed by the artefacts including perfume bottles (that were still in one piece!) and coins (with the heads of emperors on). We learnt all about Roman roads and had a go at using a groma to make sure the road was straight. Finally, we learnt some Latin so that we could understand our army commands – Sonja and Rachael were impressed with out marching!
