Bikeability

In Year 5, we began our lessons on Earth and Space by investigating the Solar System. We made a scale model of the Solar System by using footballs as the sun, and placing planets (which in this case were fruit!) in their correct distances from it. In order to do this, we had to first decide which fruits should be which planet by looking at the planets and their data, so that the biggest fruits represented the biggest planets, and the smallest fruits represented the smallest. We then counted each square of loo roll as 300 million kilometres from the sun, and used the data again to help us decide where these planets should go!
