On Friday 9th November, a group of children who took part in Arts Award Discover last year, visited the Corn Exchange in Witney where a special exhibition was being held to commemorate the centenary since the end of the First World war.

The children were part of a group who had received funding to create a stunning mosaic piece for the exhibition with artist, Becky Paton. They were delighted to see the finished piece exhibited alongside those of other partnership schools. The exhibition contained many photos and items of interest and the children all agreed it was well worth visiting.

After visiting the Corn Exchange, the children walked part of the ‘Poppy Mile’ where decorated wooden silhouettes of soldiers were. Our year six class had taken lots of care to represent the school with their soldier.
