Collective Worship is an important time of our school day when we come together as a school, Key Stage or class to worship, pray, reflect and celebrate. Collective Worship is held daily and focusses on our current value. We often have visitors who lead Collective Worship – often representatives from the Church or local charitable organisations. At key times of the Christian calendar we hold our Collective Worship at St Bartholomew’s Church. These are very special times and our children love to visit the Church and reflect there.

Every Friday, our whole school comes together for our Celebration Assembly – a special time when we recognise and celebrate the achievements of our pupils both in and out of school. During these assemblies, we present certificates to children who have demonstrated our school values, followed our school rules and expectations, or gone above and beyond in their learning and behaviour. We’re always delighted to see so many pupils receiving recognition for their hard work and positive attitudes.Attendance Ted, our special school teddy bear, makes an appearance each week to celebrate the classes with the best attendance, reminding everyone of the importance of being in school every day. Our House Captains also play a key role, announcing the weekly house points totals and celebrating the collective efforts of pupils across all four houses. One of the highlights of our Celebration Assembly is hearing about pupils’ achievements outside of school. Whether it’s sporting success, music grades, swimming certificates, or community involvement, we love to share and celebrate the wonderful things our children accomplish in their own time. These moments help us recognise the whole child and show that learning and achievement happen everywhere, not just in the classroom.
