School Council

The purpose of the School Council is to get new ideas by consulting classes on things that will affect them in school eg. events such as raising money for charity, school values, how to make the school environment even better and healthy living.

Each class votes for two representatives to go on the school council. Their role is to discuss ideas with their class and take responsibility for bringing them to the School Council meetings. After meetings the School Council members need to report back to their class.

School Council members need to be prepared to talk in a group, be a good listener, share ideas, be organised and committed to meetings as they may take place during playtimes.

It is really important that children think carefully about who they vote for as the School Council will be involved in some important decisions.

Sports Crew

The Ducklington Sports Crew have been given lots of new responsibilities this year and the crew are already working hard at improving P.E. for all the children in the school. They will be helping to encourage exercise at lunchtimes, reporting on sporting events in and out of school, keeping our P.E. display updated and selecting and presenting a Sports Personality of the week in each Friday’s celebration assembly. It will be a busy year for the Sports Crew but  they are excited to get started and improve what is already such a strong P.E. life in Ducklington Primary School.
